It has such a high benchmark to reach because the new TV series was better than most sci-fi feature films produced, in both characters, stories, ideas and writing. And it has a HUGE following. What new ideas or stories could you possibly cram into 2 hours that the massive 60+ hour TV series hasn't already covered brilliantly? Good luck, Byran. You're gonna need it. Even though this new movie is gonna be based on the old 70's show, no modern version can remain 100% faithful to that, so the old school fans still won't dig it. I think it will end up being a film that will be maligned by both old and new series fans. And Byran Singer's reboot of Superman was disappointing at best. All in all, they're setting themselves up for a big, frakin' expensive failure.
