Thoughts:USA Today has posted five new photos from Allen and Albert Hughes' The Book of Eli, starring Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson, Jennifer Beals and Evan Jones.
Opening January 15, 2010, the sci-fi drama revolves around a lone warrior (Denzel Washington) who must fight to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Gary Oldman has been set to portray the despot of a small makeshift town who's determined to take possession of the book Eli's guarding.
At first I thought the movie looked cool and this was awhile back. Now that theirs more photos from the movie, its kind of looking un-original to me. It seems too many movies these days are going for that post-apocalyptic setting and I don't see how this is suppose to stand out from the pack. I'm hoping it turns out good since its got Denzel in it, but I'm having my doubts at the moment.

You are right, it just looks like another end-of-the-wrold-movie... there doesn't seem to be anything special about it.
It seems like all the trailers at the cinema have the same topic atm...
That definitely seems like the topic in Hollywood right now Vanessa. Theirs also another movie coming out soon starring Viggo Mortensen based on the book from the author of No Country For Old Men. Forgot the name, but it also features a post-apocalyptic setting. The only difference between that movie and this movie is that this movie doesn't look too interesting, while the other has a high chance of being another major hit like No Country For Old Men was.
Pretty much the plot of most post-apocalyptic video games out there. Fallout comes to mind
