Terminator Salvation Trailer Now Online

Warner Bros. Pictures has brought online the new domestic trailer for Terminator Salvation! Directed by McG, the May 22nd opener stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Common, Jadagrace and Helena Bonham Carter.

In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Thoughts:
The trailer looks very "meh" to me. I was expecting much more from this movie, but that trailer wasn't impressive. The end part of that trailer looked simply ridiculous and not Terminator like. I still think it was a bad idea giving McG (Charlie's Angels, We Are Marshall) the directors chair. I'm also going to be pissed if they don't have Arnold Schwarzenegger doing at least a cameo for the film since he is and will always be the only Terminator in my book. I guess were going to have to wait and see, but my excitement level for this film just went down.

Really? I'm more excited with this trailer. This movie certainly won't be like the other Terminator films. The other movies were chase films. A monster chases you, and you run. Granted, Terminator: Salvation is also about survival, but the strategy is different. After all this talk of how John Connor would be the savior of mankind, we finally get to see it, with Christian Bale as the savior himself.

One of the things I've always enjoyed about The Terminator series was the mythology. I care less about the action in a Terminator film, and more about the universe that it sets up. John Connor is the savior for mankind, but his birth is the result of a time paradox. Hence, it shouldn't really exist. Not unlike the Christian story of Jesus' birth.

I guess I'm using up way too much comment space. To make this short, I'm a die hard Terminator fan, and I look forward to this next one. I try to stay grounded because I don't really trust the director McG, but I still have hope because I know that based on what I've seen, it 'can' be good.

Its possible the film can be good, but I just dont like how theirs hardly any Terminators like the T-800 or at least in the trailer we saw. I liked the whole run away from this person while I protect you thing in the past Terminator films. I hope Salvation turns out good

Looking forward for this film too, this trailer also looking pretty good for me, it seems McG also has taking this Terminator's world in to much darker and much grittier than ever.
