Thoughts:
Looks like a slow week this week at the boxoffice. Four Christmases still has the number one spot. I can see the film going on to make a good $95 - $100 million in its official run. Twilight bounced back this week to take the number two spot from Bolt. The film is currently at $138 million and has passed its $37 million budget some time ago. Bolt is continuing to do well and should finish near the $100 million spot. Australia moved up one spot from last week, but is it enough? The $78 million produced film currently sits at $30 million and is going to need some strong word of mouth if it wants to at the least make its budget back. Transporter 3 didn't move any spots and is only at $25 million. The film is probably going to be the lowest one in the trilogy. Speaking of another Lionsgate film, Punisher: War Zone, the only new wide release this week has bombed at the boxoffice. The film was made for $35 million and has only grossed $4 million on its opening weekend and is much lower than the first Punisher film. I guess its time they just leave that franchise alone and maybe give it another reboot like 6-7 years from now.
